Bride: Emelia
Location: Mount Ephraim Gardens, Kent
Mount Ephraim Gardens holds a very special place in my heart. It was one of the first places I visited when I started taking photographs seriously-and I have been back numerous times since. I have fond memories of spending summer afternoons there. Scrabbling around in the flower beds, trying to get the best angle to photograph the various flowers. When I had the idea to create an autumn wedding shoot, Mount Ephraim is the first place I thought of as an ideal location. It is magical at any season. Wild flowers appear in spring. The full English cottage garden blooms in summer. The vast lawn is home to golden orange trees, leaves flutter gently around the lake in autumn. I wanted somewhere very special, very English, to show off the beautiful flowers and dress we had to showcase for the day. Luckily the owners were happy for us to use their stunning grounds for our bridal shoot. We made full use of the house. I particularly loved the staircase, which provided us with the perfect opportunity to get some images with interesting framing and composition. The cottage gardens were glorious-still holding their colour in mid October! We also found an old wooden door, with overhanging vines, which was an interesting backdrop for some portraits. Mount Ephraim is absolutely beautiful, the perfect place to get married. I hope some of these images will give you some inspiration if you are getting married at Mount Ephraim Gardens. Or simply the thoughtful and evocative bridal portraits and lovely autumn themed details will inspire you if you are planning your own autumn wedding.
As always, our vision would not have been brought to life without the help of this stellar cast of wedding suppliers, all of whom I would recommend:
